online writing, vlogging…why not?

December 2, 2009 at 9:59 am (Uncategorized)

Writing online and video-blogging are things that are totally new to me.  Thanks to SMART for bringing out the writer (and maybe the storyteller too) in me  through the DPSA training. I have really learned a lot from this training which I believe will prove useful in teaching Chemistry to my students. Thanks to SMART for providing teachers the opportunity to be at par(?) with their students on ICT matters. See you online!

It’s also a wonderful experience to brush shoulders with the experts – Prof. Aurora Lomibao, Sir Chris Lorenzo and Ms. Kring Elenzano.

A SMART advantage…

December 2, 2009 at 9:16 am (Uncategorized)

I consider my self fortunate to have attended the SSP Web Development and Content Generation Training. Writing and storytelling are my stuff  but I do these in the context of  Science Research which is basically characterized by a formal or rigid structure making it less appealing to students of this  generation.

The SSP training  at USJR in Cebu City on Nov30-Dec5 2009  has given me a new dimension on how to make Science Research more meaningful and exciting for my students. Research Blog! or Vlog!  Isn’t that exciting? The choice is yours. I can’t wait to share what I have learned in the training with my students and co-teachers.

This is what I call my SMART advantage!

This is one of the songs my daughters listen to. Listen and make a wish. In God’s time, it will come true.

SMART trains smart teachers…

April 28, 2009 at 7:24 am (Uncategorized)

Hello World indeed! Welcome to my first blog. I don’t know exactly what to post here. Thanks to SMART and PBSP for the ICT Integration training  in CDO (April 27-29, 2009). It has been a truly engaging and enriching experience.  I look forward to using the web blog as a teaching tool. I am pretty sure my students will embrace it. Afterall, they know better how to make blogs than their teachers do.
